Tiling Projects

Drainage tile is one of the best returns on investment we can make on our farms.  Unfortunately, there is usually a narrow window available to install it.  The time between harvest and freezing temperatures limits how much tile can be installed.  We made the decision several years ago to invest in our own line of tile equipment to allow us to install and maintain our own drainage systems on the farms we are responsible for.  Our Cleveland wheel machine maybe slow, but it allows us to dig up to 6’ deep to install our mains.  We also have a small ditch witch chain trencher to get in those hard to get to areas.  We recently added a Liebrecht Tile Plow with RTK GPS control to install laterals faster.   In 2021 we are adding wheat back into the crop rotation in order to have a place to tile in the late summer before harvest.
