Pasture Raised Cattle

The farm had been strictly a grain operation for many years until Michael & his sister, Amy, added cattle as 4-H projects. They continue to raise and feed out calves each year for freezer beef. We are thankful for our existing customers who purchase beef by the 1/4, 1/2, and whole. Steers are usually ready for processing by August of each summer. Please  contact Michael  if you are interested in our beef our current market pricing.

Process & Payment

Your name and contact information will be collected when you order your beef. When the cattle are ready for processing you will be contacted with the live weight of your portion (quarter, half, whole) and you will mail your payment check to Michael or Benjamin Kinner. Ben is now raising cattle for 4H, following in his dad and aunt’s footsteps.

Once the locker has begun processing your beef, they will contact you regarding how you would like your portion cut. You will pay the locker directly when you pick up your meat.

Most of our cattle are processed at Jone’s locker in Jacksonville, IL. If you prefer an alternate locker you will need to purchase a whole steer and notify us when you order so we can secure processing date.
